I love my angels. It is the left hand side panel of the four gospel page of the Book of Kells. The colors are so perfect and there are so many details that you have to see close up.

All finished in pearlescent ink. The Celt's believed that if you made a picture of a person their soul would be trapped so their people were always portrayed in a simplistic form where as the knot work was intricate and took great skill.
